campagna di lavoro a Burnum (2005) The groma is an ancient instrument used in the roman world for measuring space, which utilisation is well attested at the Adriatic coast line. This device symbolises the spirit that inspires our research: the experimentation of new technologies for a profound acknowledgement of the antiquity. To promote this approach, from May 2006 the municipality of Acquaviva Picena, sake of the support of the Ascoli Piceno Province and in agreement with the Department of Archaeology of the University of Bologna, the Regione Marche Archaeological Heritage Supervision, the Center of Studies for the Archaeology of the Adriatic, the Department of Archaeology of Zadar University and the Archaeological Civil Museum of Drnis, hosts into the Celso Ulpiani Palace, the local headquarter of the Department of Archaeology of the University of Bologna and of the Center of Studies for the Archaeology of the Adriatic. |
